1. You MUST be registered for your classes for Spring 2012 in order to complete the application. You must know your courses, class numbers, and instructors. 

2. Remember that all placements require a valid fingerprint card. If you do not have one, you MUST apply today. Email Jennifer Spring with questions. You can click on "EDU Fingerprint flyer 2011-2012"  in the Service Learning Forms list below  to learn about the fingerprinting process.

3. If you are self-placing, you may be contacted to discuss your placement before it is approved. Please see the document "A Student's Guide to Placement Requests"  in the Service Learning Forms list below  to see what instructors require for specific classes in regard to placement. ****REMEMBER**** no self placements are allowed in Chandler Unified School District under any circumstances.

****IMPORTANT CHANGE******* All students who are requesting Gilbert Public Schools as a 1st choice OR who are self-placing in Gilbert MUST download the GPS-Service Learning Info form below, fill it out, and bring it to Jennifer Spring (or scan and email w/your signature). NO PLACEMENT will be granted in Gilbert until this form is on file in district office. Jennifer Spring will make sure it arrives at the district office along w/your fingerprint card, but you cannot begin your placement in Gilbert until this is done. DO IT NOW!

4. If you have not ever attended a service learning orientation, you MUST attend an orientation this upcoming semester. See the flyer for dates/times.

5. If you are a non-EDU major (not pursuing a teaching degree) taking a course other than child development (CFS176), please email Jennifer Spring at jennifer.spring@cgcmail.maricopa.edu.

6. ALWAYS choose EDU221 as your primary SL course if appropriate. OR, choose your EDU course in numerical order...so EDU220 before EDU222 before EDU291, etc.)
