We want to congratulate you on pursuing your academic goals with Chandler-Gilbert Community College! Attending New Student Orientation is your first vital step toward Starting Smart and becoming a successful college student. Attending an orientation session prior to the start of classes is mandatory for all students new to CGCC.
At New Student Orienation you will:
- Meet current students, administrators, faculty, and staff
- Learn about important support resources and departments on campus
- Gain knowledge and skills that will contribute to your success as a student
- Take a campus tour and locate classes

How to sign-up for an NSO session in my.maricopa.edu
To attend a New Student Orientation you must add a session to your Spring 2012 class schedule:
| 1. Log-in to your Student Center at my.maricopa.edu |
| 2. Under Academics click Add a Class |
| 3. Click Search |
| 4. Course Subject: NSO Course Nbr: Leave Blank |
| 5. Choose an NSO section and add it to your Spring 2012 Class Schedule |

Class selection and registration does not occur at New Student Orientation.
Meeting with an academic advisor is mandatory for all new-to-college students and class registration must be completed prior to attending a New Student Orientation session. For more information about advisement please visit: Academic Advisement Department

Check-in
Check-in for each New Student Orientation session will begin 20 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled time. CGCC Pecos Campus: PAC
