FALL 2009

Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid early in order to meet our priority deadline date of June 1, 2009.

 

Students must complete their 2009-10 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and submit any requested information to the CGCC Financial Aid Office to complete* their financial aid file.  This must be done by June 1, 2009 in order to receive a Fall 2009 tuition deferment until August 22, 2009. Those who apply for aid and/or complete their file after June 1, 2009 will still be considered for aid, but the student may not receive funds until after the start of the semester.  As a result, these stduents must make payment arrangements by July 8, 2009.  Enroll in the Payment Plan at www.cgc.edu/fiscal.

 

*Complete file means the Financial Aid Office has received your FAFSA as well as all other requested documentation.  You can review any information that is needed by the Financial Aid Office in your "To Do" list on your my.maricopa.edu online account.

What is Financial Aid? 

Financial aid is available to assist in removing the cost barriers that may prevent you from pursuing your educational goals. Most financial aid comes from the state and federal government. Financial Aid is meant to supplement your family's ability to pay for college costs such as tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation. Whether or not you receive financial aid will depend on your demonstrated financial need or a special talent or ability that you may have. Learn more about student eligibility.

Financial Aid comes in the form of grants, loans, student employment, and scholarships to help meet a student's cost of attendance. There are many factors affecting eligibility for financial aid. As a result, students should apply for financial aid every year, even if they do not think they will qualify. Financial aid is available for full time as well as part time students
