Additional Scholarship Opportunities at CGCC

Athletic Scholarships

Athletic Award - The athletic teams at CGCC include men's and women's basketball, baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, and volleyball. Each sport is allocated dollars for multiple awards. The coach of each sport determines the amount of each award. For more information on athletics at CGCC visit their website.

English as a Second Language Scholarships

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, legal resident of the United States, or have lawful immigration status. Applicants are also required to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Limited scholarships are available for students who are beginning to learn the English language. Honors Scholarships

In order to be eligible for any of the Honors Scholarships listed below the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a legal resident of the United States, or have lawful immigration status.

Presidents' Scholarship - Eligible students must be in a Maricopa County high school and rank in the top 15% of their class at the end of their 6th, 7th, or 8th semesters. Students falling below this ranking may qualify through the placement test. Inquire to the Honors Office for needed test scores. The scholarship amount is the cost of in-county tuition for 15 credit hours plus the registration fee.

Fee Waiver Honors Scholarship - Students must have a 3.25 overall GPA and completed (with a letter grade) at least 12 credits of 100 level or above classes. Dollar amount varies based on enrollment.

Maricopa Community Colleges Honors Program - Must be in CGCC Honors Program. Multiple awards are available with GPA requirements ranging from 3.25 - 3.50. Award amounts vary.
