Satisfactory Academic Progress
All financial aid recipients are expected to understand their responsibilities in regard to maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) at CGCC. Failure to maintain SAP as defined in the Maricopa Community Colleges policy may result in loss of financial aid funding.
The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) which includes ten colleges and two skill centers, has revised its Satisfactory Academic Progress policy. This revised policy will go into effect beginning Summer 2011. This policy affects any student that has or will apply for financial aid.
Consistent with the prior policy, all students applying for financial aid are required to read, understand, and meet the policy applicable for your period of attendance. This is true even if the student has never received financial aid funds in a prior semester.
In this transition time, there are two policies. Click on the semester below for the policy that is in effect for that period of time.
