Early Outreach

The Office of Early Outreach Programs provides opportunities for elementary and high school students to be introduced to college as well as special events.
ACE PLUS (Achieving a College Education) is an early outreach two-year scholarship-based college preparation program for high school students. The mission of this program is to increase the success rate of first generation, underrepresented financially disadvantaged college bound students. ACE PLUS aids the students in their successful completion of high school and assists them with a smooth transition into higher education. Students can earn up to 24 college credits during the course of their junior and senior years. Any sophomores from local high schools may apply.
In 2007 Chandler-Gilbert Community College partnered with Chandler Unified School District and piloted "Destination College", a summer school program for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Destination College was held for three, from Monday through Thursday. Each day the some 160 students attended workshops, classes, and lunch all in a college setting.

The
Hoop of Learning program is designed to provide educational opportunities for Native American students in high school grades 9 through 12 to earn college credits.
