How do I apply for admission?

You can apply to CGCC three ways: Online, by phone, or in-person. The online application can be found here
. Please follow the directions. Standard applications can be found in the Advising Center, or in the course schedule. All standard applications should be turned into the Admissions and Records office, located adjacent to the Advising Center.


Am I required to take ACT or SAT exams for admission into CGCC?

No. However, the university or college you plan to transfer to after CGCC may require ACT/SAT test scores.


Do you offer telephone or online advising?

Telephone advising is available on a limited basis. Priority is given to students who come into the Advising Center.

How do I send my previous college transcripts to CGCC for evaluation?

Have your official transcripts sent to our Records office. The address is as follows:

Once Admissions & Records receives the transcript, you will need to submit a request for transcript evaluation.


How do I decide my major?

Choosing a major can be a difficult process. It is an individual decision that each student has to make on his/her own. If you are having difficulty selecting a major please come in to speak with an advisor, or visit the
Career and Placement Services Office.
