Who may use the Computer Lab?
The Chandler-Gilbert Computer Lab is open to all students currently* enrolled at CGCC. Students may use the computer lab to work on assignments, gather information for courses, register for courses, and complete self-paced courses
IBM and Macintosh computers are available. ADA compliant workstations are available with the following ADA software: Dragon Naturally Speaking, 6.0 Accessible Graphing Calculator, Omnipage Pro, Jaws 4.0, and Zoom Text Xtra Level 2. The lab has several scanners on both Microsoft and Mac operating systems.
Software available includes Office Suite 2010, Photoshop, C++ and many more. There is also a variety of course-related software for science, mathematics, business, technology, languages, the arts, and other classes. Some software is not available at all stations; please see a technician if you cannot locate your software.
The Pecos campus offers wireless connection for registered students and staff. Please visit Student Tech Central
for instructions on how to access the Wireless Network. Lab staff do not "fix" personal devices. If you use your own device in the lab, be prepared to log into the workstation as well.
Instructors must reserve Bradshaw Hall Room 123A, 123B or 124 prior to bringing a class into the Computer Lab. Reservations for rooms can be made months in advance for specific times, by using Live25 or through your department secretary. Five to seven days is the minimum suggested time frame. It is required that the class be accompanied by their instructor for the entire lab time.
Individuals may reserve a Mac workstation for a limited number of hours. In the event of a conflict regarding the Mac computers (a prior class reservation), the lab staff will attempt to accommodate the impacted student(s) in C108.
