The construction of the new Coyote Center will begin this month. Avoid delays, use Gilbert Road to enter/exit the college.
In order to begin constructing the new entrance to the Coyote Center it
is now necessary to close a portion of LOT 2 west of Agave Hall. This
will be a summer closure only and should begin in the next few days.
This closure should only impact the number of college parking spaces.
(See additional closure space in red.)
(see traffic changes map below)
Norman Street entrance CLOSED.
For the safety of both the construction workers and CGCC employees and students, the center and east (Norman Street) entrances to the Pecos Campus will be closed beginning in mid-March and will remain closed throughout the construction period
. Two entrances to campus will remain open -- Emmett Street off of Pecos on the west end of campus and the entrance off of Gilbert Road. Gilbert Road access remains open: Traffic flow altered.
To ease the traffic congestion that will be caused by the closures, we have changed some of the traffic patterns on campus
. Incoming traffic from Gilbert Road can only access the campus via the north loop road. The south loop road will be utilized to exit the campus on to Gilbert Road. Please view the map and read about the traffic changesDrop off location moved to the west side of the Performing Arts Center.
The drop off location will move to the west side of the campus in front of the Arnette Scott Ward Performing Arts Center off of Emmett Drive.
