Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) and the Maricopa Community College District Chancellor invite inquiries, expressions of interest and nominations for the position of President.
Founded in 1985, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, a comprehensive community college, serves the higher education needs of its residents at three locations in the Southeast Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area with transfer and workforce development programs, continuing education, and more. CGCC’s service area reflects a diverse multicultural environment and is experiencing burgeoning population growth. The College has built a culture focused on student success, employee collegiality and collaboration, and service to community. The College’s unduplicated headcount per year is approximately 15,700 with a current enrollment increase of 12% over the previous year.
The College President is the chief executive officer of the College, reports directly to the District Chancellor and is responsible for and directs the entire operation of the institution with subordinate administrators from academic affairs, student affairs, and administrative services.
Chandler-Gilbert Community College seeks a president who will honor and cultivate the institution’s culture of excellence that focuses on inclusion, trust and collaboration. The next president will be a visionary leader who supports innovation, skillfully manages the College’s growth amidst budget reductions, and who has demonstrated experience with active learning, civic and global engagement, service learning, learning communities, technology and sustainability initiatives.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, five years senior leadership experience in a post-secondary institution, and teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.
