Cindy Barnes Pharr, Ph.D.

Cindy serves as the Dean of Community Affairs and Resource Development.  She is a fourth generation Arizona native who attended CGCC in the late 1980's.  Cindy was formerly with Qwest Communications as a Senior Community Affairs Manager.   Prior to her work at Qwest Communications, Cindy served as the Director of Graduate Alumni Affairs at Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business.  She also served as a member of ASU's College of Public Programs Alumni Board for more than a decade.  Cindy has experience in working and partnering with all levels of the educational continuum, as well as state and local government, community-based organizations, foundations, corporations, and non-profits.

Cindy has a Ph.D. in Public Administration, an M.S. in Recreation Administration, and a B.S. in Communication, all from Arizona State University.  Additionally she has a certificate in Corporate Community Involvement from Boston College's Center for Corporate Citizenship, and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Innovation.
