Mission
To better identify and serve students who need academic preparation to succeed in college.
Goals
To define ongoing needs for data on developmental courses and students at CGCC.
Objective: Work with IR staff to obtain regular reports on developmental course enrollments and completions, and subsequent enrollment and success in college-level courses.
Objective: Work with Learning Assistance Center staff to obtain regular reports of developmental student participation in LAC services.
To provide faculty leadership in planning and implementing a student success pilot project at CGCC.
Objective: Make recommendations for pilot project target audience parameters.
Objective: Make recommendations for computer-based assessments of incoming student skills.
To facilitate coordination and enhancement of developmental course offerings at CGCC
Objective: Work with appropriate divisions to assure student-friendly schedules of developmental courses across disciplines of Math, English, and Reading.
Objective: Make recommendations for developmental course prerequisites to 100-level courses where appropriate.
Objective: Work with Learning Assistance Center staff to coordinate support services with developmental course offerings.
