Personal: Derek has lettered in Tennis 2 years, Baseball 3 years, and Basketball 1 year at Conifer HS in Colorado. In Tennis, he made 2nd Team All Conference. In Baseball, he made Pitcher of the Year and in Basketball, he made Most Improved and Hardest Worker. He hopes to get drafted after 2 years at CGCC or transfer to a 4 year University and graduate with a degree and live in Alaska. He has plans to play for Arkansas State University for Fall of 2008. He enjoys hiking, camping, wakeboarding, and Rubik's Cube.
