I have had many wonderful teachers throughout my life, in lower grades and in college; I have been lucky!
I am writing today to tell you, in my opinion, Mr. Bates is one of the best ever! I enjoyed everyday of his class, even when the material was difficult! He would ALWAYS take the time to ensure you understood and look for different ways to present the material. He was always available to go over questions and work problems…that is rare for instructors to do today. Everyday he had a smile on and was excited about the material. You could see that it pleased him to see the students 'connecting the dots'. His tests were challenging, but fair.
I know that my Chemistry foundation is so strong and will be a tremendous help down the road! I wish that all professors had the same love of the subject and student that he possesses. I know that he is making a difference everyday with the future nurses, doctors, vets and pharmacists that he teaches.
