Health Emergencies 


If a conscious or unconscious person requires immediate medical attention:

  • Yell for someone to call 911 and Public Safety at 480-732-7280 (Pecos) or 480-988-8888 (Williams).
  • Dispatch an individual to get the Defibrillator (AED).
  • Do not move incapacitated individual unless absolutely necessary.
  • Calm and comfort the individual.
  • Ask individual to turn their head to the side, unless a neck injury is suspected.
  • Apply direct pressure to control bleeding, if necessary.
  • Keep the individual warm.
  • Monitor consciousness. If the individual is unconscious:
    • Check the pulse.
    • Place ear by the individual's mouth and check for breathing.
    • Monitor breathing and circulation of unconscious individual until Emergency Medical Services arrives.
    • Begin CPR or Defibrillator (AED) if needed.
    • Wait for arrival of emergency personnel.
