If a conscious or unconscious person requires immediate medical attention:
- Yell for someone to call 911 and Public Safety at 480-732-7280 (Pecos) or 480-988-8888 (Williams).
- Dispatch an individual to get the Defibrillator (AED).
- Do not move incapacitated individual unless absolutely necessary.
- Calm and comfort the individual.
- Ask individual to turn their head to the side, unless a neck injury is suspected.
- Apply direct pressure to control bleeding, if necessary.
- Keep the individual warm.
- Monitor consciousness. If the individual is unconscious:
- Check the pulse.
- Place ear by the individual's mouth and check for breathing.
- Monitor breathing and circulation of unconscious individual until Emergency Medical Services arrives.
- Begin CPR or Defibrillator (AED) if needed.
- Wait for arrival of emergency personnel.
