Grant What To Consider
Page Content
What to Consider Before Writing a Grant:
- Which programs or disciplines are strong and growing?
- Do you have any special initiatives, new programs, or opportunities that are promising? Are you in the process of making any major changes that may be enhanced with external funding?
- Are there any significant demographic or target group increases that suggest the need for new programs?
- Which faculty are particularly innovative, experts in their disciplines, and interested in new challenges and professional growth opportunities?
- What partnerships have you developed or could you develop that could lead to additional funding opportunities?
- Get approval from your department chair, appropriate dean (Dean of Instruction, Dean of Student Services, etc.), or supervisor before you begin the process of writing a grant.
- Contact CGCC Grants Director before you start the grant writing process
