Reduce, Recycle and Reuse:

Making paper from recycled materials requires 60 percent less energy than making paper from virgin tree stock. Office supply stores have hundreds of office supplies made from recycled materials. Type "recycled" into the their search box to see the entire inventory of green products.

40% of the waste in landfills is paper. By recycling one ton of paper, 17 trees, three cubic yards of landfill space, 7,000 gallons of water, 60 pounds of air pollution, 380 gallons of oil, and 4,000 kilowatts of energy are saved.

Paper can be recycled as many as 15 times before the fibers in the paper are no longer able to make more paper. Once paper has been recycled its allowable 15 times, it is used for toilet paper, paper towels and tissue paper.
