Google email is now the official way to receive communications from Chandler-Gilbert Community College, any other Maricopa Community College students may attend, and the Maricopa County Community College District, about financial aid, enrollment information, and other important issues.

Your new email address will be your Maricopa Enterprise ID number (MEID) @ maricopa.edu. Students are encouraged to activate their Google email accounts immediately, by accessing http://www.maricopa.edu/google/.

Who is eligible for a GoogleApps@Maricopa account?

Any student affiliated with the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) is eligible for an account. An account will be automatically provisioned when a student receives an MEID.

What is an MEID?

MEID stands for Maricopa Enterprise Identification. It is a unique username that allows students access to my.maricopa.edu, enabling them to apply for admission, enroll in classes online, access grades, request transcripts, and more.

How do I find my MEID?

If you are a first time user, you will need to know your Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID). To discover your MEID, go to the Student Personal Administration Tool (SPAT) “discover MEID” area.

What if I forgot my password?

If you have forgotten your password you will need to reset it. To reset your password go to the Student Personal Administration Tool (SPAT) “forgotten password” area.

How do I create an account?

Before you can login, you must have an MEID through MCCCD. New students can register for an MEID at my.maricopa.edu. When your MEID registration is complete, you can login to GoogleApps@Maricopa. Existing or former students can discover their MEID here.

What password do I use?

To access GoogleApps@Maricopa, use your MEID and related password. This is the same password that you use to access your Student Center account in SIS.

How long can I keep my Gmail account at MCCCD?

This is a lifetime email account. You can keep your e-mail even after your affiliation with MCCCD has ended.

If I have a question about my student email account, what do I do?

Who gets an MCCCD student email account?

Email accounts have been provisioned for any student who has been enrolled at any Maricopa Community College during the past three years.

What will the MCCCD student email accounts be used for?

Student email accounts will be used to communicate official CGCC and MCCCD business, including financial aid, fee payment, enrollment, and critical or time-sensitive information affecting an entire campus or college.

Where can I find my email account in the Student Center?

The student email account can be found in as part of your personal information in the Student Center. Your email account is <MEID>@Maricopa.edu.

How do I forward from Gmail to my other e-mail accounts?

Gmail lets you automatically forward incoming email to another preferred email address. Click here for these instructions.

If I'd rather use a different email account, what options do I have?

The official e-mail address for all students attending a CGCC or another Maricopa Community College is going to be <MEID>@Maricopa.edu. Students are responsible for communications sent to this email address. Students have the option to ‘forward’ email going to this address to their ‘preferred’ email address.

I don't want to receive Spam to my Student Google Email account. How do I prevent this?

The intent of Student Google Email is to relay official college and MCCCD communications to students. If you feel you are receiving information that does not fall under this category, please email us at marketing@cgcmail.maricopa.edu.
