CGCC and the Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) are now providing Google-powered email for all students. While students can access their new email account now, on July 13, 2009, Google email will become the official way to receive communications from CGCC, any other Maricopa Community College students may attend, and the Maricopa County Community College District, about financial aid, enrollment information, and other important issues.

Google email will also give students access to a variety of online tools that will help with their school work, including:

• Useful collaboration tools such as Google Docs, an online suite of office productivity applications featuring word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. Google Docs allows collaboration with others on the same documents in real time. Documents are saved online, so you always have access no matter what computer you use.

• Calendar, tasks, and schedule features

• Instant messaging with voice and video.

Students are encouraged to log on now to their Google email account by accessing www.maricopa.edu/google/ to get started.
