On Thursday, November 5, a CGCC Alert test message will be sent out to all employees and students. CGCC Alert is Chandler-Gilbert Community College's emergency notification system that will help ensure rapid and reliable mass communication to students, faculty, and staff. The CGCC Alert system is designed to communicate with cell phones (text and voice messages), landlines, and e-mail systems, should a crisis or emergency situation occur at any of CGCC's three locations.

Students should update their contact information in the Maricopa Online Student Center at my.maricopa.edu in order to receive a CGCC Alert notification in the event of an emergency.

For the purposes of this test ONLY, the only point of contact the CGCC Alert will cycle through will be your cell phone - first in form of a text message. If you don't have text messaging on your phone, you will receive an automated call to your cell phone. In a non-testing situation, CGCC Alert will first send a text, then a call to your cell phone, then your home phone, emergency contact number, and finally an email.

When you receive the CGCC Alert on November 5, we ask that you respond to the instructions in either the text message or automated call, and confirm that you received the CGCC Alert. This will help us better track how many employees and students we are reaching.
