Race for the Cure!

pink ribbon18th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!

The Walk will take place on Sunday, October 10 at the State Capitol District (Wesley Bolin Plaza).

There are several event options for participation:

  • 1 Mile Run/Walk
  • Breast Cancer Survivor's 5K Run (Registration restricted to breast cancer survivors)
  • 5K Run
  • 5K Walk
  • Sleep In for the Cure® (Want to participate without walking or running? Sleep In is an option for those who will be absent on Race Day.) If you are not available on race day or just want to stay in bed? Sleep in for the Cure is an official part of the Phoenix Race; register for this option if you cannot attend the Race in person due to church, family, work, or other obligations that keep you away - or if you love the Race but just need to sleep-in!    This is a great way to include those friends and family members that live out of state!
NEW: All participants who register online by September 21st will receive FREE mailing of their Race t-shirt/bib!

There are three participant categories.

  • Breast Cancer Survivor (All ages) Registration Fee:
    $20 thru Race Day/October 10th
    Participant receives a Race t-shirt, Survivor t-shirt and bib. Survivor t-shirt gives admission to the Survivor/Co-Survivor Area on Race Day.
  • Kids for the Cure® (Youth participants ages 12 and under) Registration Fee:
    $15 thru September 21st
    $20 September 22nd thru Race Day/October 10th
  • Adult (Participants ages 13 and higher) Registration Fee:
    $30 thru September 21st
    $35 September 22nd thru Race Day/October 10th
Times:
  • 6:00am: Race Site Opens: Registration, Teams Area, Corporate Village, Community Village Survivor line-Up begins for Pink Parade
  • 6:30am: Survivors' Pink Parade Survivor & Co-Survivor Area (Pink Hat Café) opens following Pink Parade
  • 7:15am: Mile Walk/Run*
  • 8:05am: Breast Cancer Survivors 5K Run*
  • 8:20am: 5K Run*
  • 8:40am: 5K Walk*
  • 10:00am: Race Awards
*All events are non-competitive. Times will be displayed on digital clocks at the finish line.
