Criteria for PSA Reimbursement Scholarship from Proceeds of PSA Cookbook Sales
- 75% of proceeds from the sales of 400 cookbooks will fund the scholarships. (approximately $1450.00)
- Only dues paying PSA members are eligible for the scholarships.
- Applicants must have successfully completed six credit hours with a 2.5 GPA or better prior to application.
- Must describe educational goals/plans.
- Must show progress towards a degree or program of study (such as any of the occupational programs).
- Must write an essay with the following noted:
- Explain why you are applying for the scholarship
- Include any obstacles or extenuating circumstances you have had to overcome.
- Briefly describe what your educational goal (s) is/are and how a scholarship would help you to attain that goal.
- The scholarship would be given out for 4 semesters to 2 applicants each semester. The recipient from a previous semester must also reapply each semester that they wish to be considered.
- The scholarship will begin Fall of 2007.
- Scholarship will be awarded at the beginning of the semester, but reimbursement will occur after grades are posted and receipts have been turned in.
- Reimbursement not to exceed $180 for tuition, books and supplies. Must provide proof of grades and expenses. (Copies of receipts are required)
- The scholarship is to be managed by CGCC Financial Aid.
- Any remaining money not used at the end of the fourth semester (May 2009) will be rolled over into the general PSA scholarship fund.
