Academic Programs
Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) offers general education, developmental education, university transfer education, and occupational education programs at the Williams Campus.

General education courses are offered in English Composition, Developmental English, Communication, Reading, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Humanities, Sciences, and Computer Literacy.

The Partnership in Baccalaureate Education with Arizona State University East (ASUE) includes both general education and transfer courses specifically for the Morrison School of Agribusiness and Resource Management, the College of Technology and Applied Sciences, and East College, which includes education, business, psychology, multi-media writing, and nutrition. The CGCC teacher education program has expanded to the Williams Campus and includes a new partnership agreement with ASUE. This program includes a full complement of K-12 preparatory courses in conjunction with the university.

CGCC offers several aviation and aerospace programs, which are unique to Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) at Williams including Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aircraft Construction Technology, Avionics, and Flight. In addition, through a partnership with Intel, a semiconductor-manufacturing program was developed and is currently being revised to become an automated manufacturing systems program.

CGCC will continue to provide key, lower-division, academic courses to support its occupational programs, as well as ASU East's programs at Williams. MCCCD will also pursue programs that will support local, regional, and international economic development in eastern Maricopa County.

In addition to the programs outlined above, there are a number of industry and community specific non-credit courses offered at the Williams Campus. In a collaborative atmosphere with industry and the community, and under the guidance of Williams' Campus faculty and staff, various non-credit offerings have been developed and presented to aviation companies like America West Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Aviation Maintenance Systems, Inc. and Boeing.

Several summer programs have been developed to work with high school students such as the semiconductor summer camp, sponsored by Intel, and youth activities for gifted students. Another summer program focuses on Native American students and is offered in conjunction with ASU East.

The preparation of the Williams Campus Master Plan required the collection and analysis of a variety of data related to the former Williams Air Force Base, the community, and the surrounding area. This information provided a comprehensive understanding and contextual overview of the various physical, social, and economic factors, which would influence the future of campus development, and provided the basis as to facility reuse potential.

Short Range Plans
With the bond election tentatively scheduled for 2004, new buildings will probably not be built until 2006. By that time, the headcount will have nearly doubled. Therefore it is paramount that ways be found that allow CGCC to continue to serve both its students and its community within the existing facilities.
