A STRATEGY FOR GROWTH
Community Development
The City of Chandler may be considered a business community, while the Town of
Gilbert is pursuing mixed-use commercial/retail expansion. This creates great
diversity in the student body requiring great diversity in class offerings, providing
graduates to occupational fields such as electronics, aviation/aerospace, information
technology, telecommunications, research, service, construction, and retail, along
with traditional liberal arts transfer and teacher education.
Academic Programs
At the Pecos Campus of CGCC, the goal is to provide quality educational courses
and programs to help students reach their goals: transferring to a university
program, entering the job market, earning a two-year degree or certificate. A
comprehensive program of academic courses is offered including communications
and fine arts, language and humanities, science and mathematics, social and behavioral
sciences, wellness, health, nutrition and physical education and business-computer
information systems.
