Other discussions: Years of Service (YOS)- EDT was given the opportunity to consider the manner in which service awards are presented. Results of the discussion were: Hold an "Anniversary Tea" w/open house, annually in January (during week of accountability) which would recognize those employees from the previous calendar year. o It would be necessary to check with district to see who and how the list of employees is managed; the timeframe in which the YOS list is generated; and, determine the flexibility in which to create the YOS list based on a calendar year reporting period. Take group photo shots and incorporate the Years of Service photo(s) into the slideshow presentation at the employee recognition meeting in May. Acknowledgement through Courier (w/photo); EDT website and/or e-mail. Also mentioned was honoring them at the annual employee picnic. In keeping with the stone theme, it was mentioned that the YOS award might fall under the heading of "milestone" recognition. Picnic/Luau items of discussion- Sandi to ck w/ Brenda on campus use vs. Freestone Park Locate portable basketball hoop Hopscotch Bldg Excellence Block Criteria- Firm up or re-word the memo regarding the block criteria so that all individuals are listing employees who have facilitated or presented in some manner for employee development outside of their normal scope of employment. For instance, faculty who are instructing an employee workshop outside of their normal scope should receive a block or to the adverse, student workers who normally set up, obtain supplies, reserve rooms for meetings in their normal scope of work should not receive one if their name has been submitted just because one of the meetings that they helped set up happened to be an employee workshop. Team building event- A suggestion was made to consider opportunities through the Phoenix Zoo in which to hold team building activities.
