EDT Brand & Marketing-Brent has gained the support of Chuck Reinebold to sit on the EDT committee for expertise in marketing EDT. It was agreed that the website should include the comprehensive EOLT schedule as well as other workshops such as CGCCs training sessions presented by Bill Holmes, Grant Writing Workshops, etc. Maricopa Learns Through Service (MLTS)-This is a community based learning program that is initiated by the district to support the development of employees. A hand-out about this program was distributed and made a part of the minutes. This new program was recently approved by CEC and falls under the heading of Career Pathways. Specific criteria have been outlined to be considered eligible. The pilot program will be limited initially to 25 employees across MCCCD for to test the pilot program. HRMS Self Service Training Summary-Question: Does EDT want to input historical training data from CGCC into the HRMS Training Summary? After some discussion, it was agreed that it is important and valued to enter any attended CGCC training into the self-service training record within the practical limitations to be defined. There may be an electronic manner in which to record attendance. Currently, an individual who attends a session presented by EOLT has a sign up sheet and then someone is responsible for entering in the attendance records. The sign in and data entry procedures will need to be defined. Fall EOLT Calendar-Suggested or requested topics: Safe Space Training (this is being held on 6/21 at MCC) MCCCD Supervisor 101 Managing Performance/Conducting Performance Evaluations Workplace Violence Prevention Diversity Series Hiring the Best- (Slated for 9/16 @ CGCC) The first diversity session facilitated by Rory Gilbert that was held in spring 2005 appeared to be very successful. Attendees did inquire as to whether or not a follow-up session could be arranged for the campus. Rory has since established a six part program. It is anticipated that we would start with the first session of the new diversity program. Brent will check her availability. It was also noted that we did offer the Managing Performance series in the fall of 2004. The classes were cancelled due to low enrollment despite President Hesses endorsement. It was decided that further discussion was necessary. NEXT MEETING: June 2, 2005 3:00 pm 4:30 pm Location: B168 CANCELLED RESCHEDULED FOR JUNE 9, 2005 2:30 pm-4:00 LOCATION: B102
