Current Business The teams welcomed its newest member - Carol Crane. Keystone Award Quarterly Gift Winners: Review of past award gifts for random drawing of Keystone Award winners. We have exhausted the supply. Carol Crane suggested that we purchase movie tickets from the Employee store for the winners. AMC and/or Harkins tickets. Need to investigate the possibility of using funds and using the special purchase form. Carol will also check with Carol Carter regarding the form letter she used for requesting other donations. Keystone Award Certificates Discussion of the need to change the style and delivery of the Keystone Awards. It was also suggested that the Certificates should be placed in CGCC certificate holders with an official seal. It was also recommended that instead of the recipient printing out their own award that EDT would print out the award on fine paper, place it in the handsome certificate holder and present it to the recipient. Carol and Trina will look into the design. Carol will check into ordering certificate holders with seals. Diane will work with Audree to remove the link for the recipient to print their own certificate. Brent will send out a June announcement to recognize employees with a Keystone Award. We also need to change the verbiage on the form. Instead of nomination it should state recognize. It has been suggested that people are confused with the word nomination tending them to think that it would have to be reviewed by a committee for consideration before a person would be awarded an accolade. Building Block Awards Review of the criteria for receiving a Building Block Award. There is a need to further define specific criterion for someone to be nominated and become the recipient of a Building Block Award. Memorial Guidelines Trina will check on the garden design, fund raising and memorial guidelines. She will speak with Mark regarding the financing and the comprehensive planning team to ascertain where the employee memorial will be placed, what the memorial will consist of. Margie will meet with the President with the edited guidelines and check with her to define the EDT current responsibilities in relation to the Employee Memorial and the Guidelines. Core Competency Form The form has been finalized and needs to be posted to the webport for employees to access it. Summer/Fall ED Schedule Beth Eberhardt confirmed there will be two stand-alone online classes, Ethics and Public Sector Employment. These courses will be mandatory for each employee to take. This supports the Blue Ribbon Panel recommendations. These courses will not be used as substitutes for completing the Navigate Maricopa series.
