Minutes reviewed and approved. Dee Dee Tapson joined us on with concerns voiced by the personnel from District Office EOLT who came down to CGCC to lead the various scheduled workshops. The issue revolved around the room scheduling, last minute room changes, lack of communication, lack of media equipment and rooms not being properly set up beforehand so that the workshops could begin on time. There have been numerous reports of this ongoing situation. On two occasions, the facilitators received negative feedback from CGCC staff when they voiced their concerns. This is a problem, not only for the EDT, but also reflects badly on the reputation of CGCC. It was decided that we should invite Barbara Green and Brenda Crouteau to a meeting to discuss the situation and find an amicable solution to these concerns. The remaining ELOT Spring Course Offerings at CGCC are as follows: 3/23-MOSAIC IIA-Smith 3/30-MOSAIC IIB-Lien 4/13-MOSAIC IIIA-Basha 4/20-MOSAIC IIIB-Larson 4/27-Improving Trust in Your Work Relationships-Bartel 6/07-Six Thinking Hats-TBA The assigned person would be responsible for marketing, refreshments (Aramark), room set-up, and host the facilitator. The team is reminded to please check in advance for the proper room assignment and that facilities will set up the proper assigned room. Also check with the media department to ensure that all equipment will be available and set up before the workshop begins. There was an extensive review to of the Employee Memorial Guidelines. Brent was going to make the revisions and compile a final version of the guidelines for submission to the President. Margie indicated that she would present the Guidelines to President Hesse. Margie will bring in the Core Competency Form for the CGCC Navigate Maricopa Series to the next meeting for review. Diane reported that there was a request from an Adjunct Faculty Member, Joe Jackson, to bring a Movin On Up workshop to CGCC for adjuncts only. The group will discuss at the next meeting. Dee Dee Tapson reported that the series 7 Habits for Highly Effective People will be held at the District on May 21 thru May 24, 2007 from 8 to 5, with an additional class Train the Trainer being offered. She also indicated that at the request of Jamie Garrido, EOLT will hold a class entitled Whale Done which will be held all day on May 15th. It involves relationships within the workplace stressing positive reinforcement and redirects the negative. It was decided that 5 weeks would be too long a break between meetings and that an interim meeting would another meeting would be scheduled for March 26, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Diane will see to scheduling a room.
