Margie gave an overview of her efforts to get the different employee groups involved in the Bed-Net project. She had sent out email to the respective head of each group (PSA, MAT, etc) along with suggestions for fund raisers and the reminder that this campaign was being held during the spring semester only. There was an extensive review to finalize recommendations for the Employee Memorial Guidelines. The group reviewed the research that was compiled by Trina Larson. It was agreed that this memorial would need to be included in the Master Plan an area of peace or reflection between the C & E Building. It was decided that the employee would be memorialized with either a memorial brick or an engraved name plaque on a wall stating the employees name and years of service to the college. The guidelines would stipulate that there would be no other type of memorial allowed. It was agreed that any current employee of CGCC who passes away would be honored on the memorial at college expense. Any former employee (in good standing) could be honored at a requestors expense. Brent was going to compile a rough draft of the guidelines for our review and future submission to the President. Minute Taking-Diane will take notes for the spring semester.
