President Hesse explained that this initiative was to benefit our college culture and to try and maintain the core values, integrity and ethics as the college expands and grows the employee workforce. President noted that she did not want employees to grow apart and disconnect as the college grow. President would like to keep CGCC as a friendly place, where people enjoy coming to work. The Renewal and Reflection is a regular activity to remind people of that. She discussed her recent visit to Richland College in Dallas that has an outstanding reputation of employee collaboration and success. One of Richlands core values is joy. Pam Davenport discussed how she conducts the workshops and engaged the EDT in an exercise to demonstrate how the reflection and renewal works. President Hesse and Pam Davenport would like EDT to help with suggestions as to how to approach employees, promote the workshops and grow participation for this initiative. They also would like to brainstorm with the committee for ideas; perhaps change the name of the workshops to more adequately reflect the meaning of this course and thereby attract more participants. Pam invited the EDT to attend her next workshop on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 10-12p.m., with lunch being offered afterwards. End of Meeting. NEXT MEETING: 1/14/08 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in B111
