CHANDLER-GILBERT COMMUNITY COLLEGE EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT TEAM April 14, 2008 - 2:00 to 3:00 pm, B111 Present: Sandi Lien, Brent Bartel, Trina Larson, Eva Jean Smith, Sherri Basha, Diane Yost ACTION ITEMS: Trina Ask Magda to create an email template for the announcement of the Monthly Keystone Award Winners. Brent Make an inquire to Beth Eberhardt as to how many people from CGCC still need the Navigate Maricopa Classes Margie Check with President regarding Moasic and Navigate Maricopa Services, regarding our focus for development Review of Minutes and Action Items. 1) Sandi Lien asked the Customer Service Committee to become involved in the next level of the Rewards and Recognition (which is the next level of the EDT focus). Trina Larson agreed saying that it would address the EDT portion of the College Goals and the also the College Culture. 2) The group discussed the upcoming Employee Morale Booster, the 7th inning Stretch, being held on Wednesday April 16, 2008. Trina suggested that we contact Athletics and obtain helmets, pennants, bats, etc. for decorating the room. Sandi Lien reported that she went shopping and obtained water, lemonade, peanuts and Cracker Jack for the event. Sandi also indicated that she rented from Netflix a Baseball Bloopers DVD, which will serve as entertainment for people who visit. 3) Sandi also noted that there was an open PO for EDT events. It was suggested that the PO be closed for the end of year fiscal purposes. 4) Movie Tickets for EDT award winners. Sandi created a project plan and accompanying spreadsheet for tracking of purchases and awarding movie tickets to Keystone Award winners for the quarterly drawing. It is now on Margies desk to be presented to Mark Mason and President for review and hopefully approval. Trina Larson mentioned that she would be donating the next gift for the award winner. 5) It was suggested that each month the EDT should send out an email of the Keystone Award winners to promote not only the award itself but to applaud the winners. Trina indicated that she will ask Madga to create an email template. 6) The EDT assignments for CGCC Spring course offerings are as follows: 05/14/08 7 Habits of Highly Effective People 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. Brent Bartel (L226) 05/21/08 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (cont) 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. Brent Bartel (L226) 05/28/08 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (cont) 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. Brent Bartel (L226) 06/05/08 Large Passenger Van Training 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. District Personnel (B172) 7) It was noted that we will need to plan for the July 1, 2008 to 12/19/08 EOLT events to bring to CGCC. The issue was raised that President still wants MOASIC and Navigate Maricopa series offered. There was an inquiry about bringing the Navigate Series to CGCC in two class installments as were offered at Glendale and Scottsdale this past semester. Brent indicated that he would inquire with Beth Eberhardt regarding statistics of how many people from CGCC still need the Navigate classes. Margie will check with the President regarding the focus of the development of EDT regarding MOASIC and Navigate Maricopa series. 8) Day of Learning will be discussed at the next meeting.
