Welcome Valerie!
We are pleased to intoduce Valerie Davis, our new Admin Secretary in support of the Technology Directors (Tim Keefe, Ben Archer, and Victor Navarro). Valerie is not new to Chandler Gilbert, she has worked in the office of Student Affairs and Admissions and Records. Valerie is originally from Chicago and claims to be a sports fan, so we may have another Fantasy Football player in the group. If your in the areas stop by and say hello to Valerie.

Send email copy to Google as a transition
Abstract from Maricopa Technology Resource Standards. Maricopa employees who are eager to move to Google as a replacement for employee email can setup their mail settings in the Personal Admin Tool email settings to send a copy of their email to Google. This will ensure we are compliant with the e-discovery records request requirement.

Review and Approval of Alternate E-Mail Account Systems
The prior review and approval by the Vice Chancellor of Information Technology Services is required for the implementation of alternate college electronic mail account systems. Requests will be evaluated based upon the following considerations:

  1. The system must be compatible and interoperable with the MCCCD e-mail system.
  2. All information within the e-mail system must be e-discoverable, per law.
  3. Any proposed changes to the college e-mail system with e-discovery implications must be submitted to District ITS for approval.
  4. District ITS must always have full and complete access to ensure the ability to provide any information necessary for e-discovery, local or remote, in a timely and secure manner.
