Some of our green initiatives have to do with managing 117 classroom and other fixed display systems. We have all devices programmed to shut down each evening after 10pm to save energy and lamp hours. This also allows us to extend the life of the projectors as they do not burn lamps and generate unnecessary heat, then requiring additional cooling of the facility.

Each projector utilizes 310Watts in normal 260Watts in  eco mode. We are experimenting running in eco mode to save energy. The trade off is the projection is not as bright.

However at full capacity, the difference would save 50 watts per device per hour, times 117.
