A. Email filters are sets of rules you can set up in MEMO for processing incoming messages. You can define filters so that all messages that meet certain criteria are filed into a particular folder. For example, you could define a filter that files all messages from a particular sender or of a particular subject into a specified folder.
- In Tools, select Message Filters.
- Click the New button to display the Filter Rules window.
- At Filter name: enter a name for the filter.
- In the Filter Actions fields, the various drop down menus contain criteria you can use to build the filter.
Filters are not available for users who access their MEMO email via WebMail.
If you are accessing your MEMO email from more then one computer such as home and office, the filters will need to be setup on each computer. You can move the rules from one computer to another. More information on setting up filters can be found in Netscape Help.
