New Course! ECE 216 (August 23rd 2010)
We are pleased to announce a new course at CGCC: ECE 216 "Computer-Aided Engineering" taught by Elie Chmouni. The course teaches advanced Solidworks part modeling and prepares students for the two certifications available from Solidworks. The course transfers to ASU as MAE 214 + 2 electives for Mechanical Engineering students, or 3 technical elective credits for other engineering majors.
Professor Bassam Matar Named ACE Award Educator of the Year (April 13th 2010)
"Nominated by Avnet and supported by many other industries for the outstanding quality of his work and commitment to students, Matar's election marks the first time that the Educator of the Year Award will be given to a community college faculty member. Avnet Tech Games!! (April 10th 2010)
Teams from CGCC competed in a variety of games, from Digital Design to the Robot Race Obstacle Course. Chandler-Gilbert had two winning teams:
