Mr. Weaver received his Journeyman Lineworker status in 1981; he worked as a lineman and foreman for the City of LaJunta, Colorado for twenty-one years. During this time he instructed Apprentice linemen in all aspects of the trade from overhead line construction to underground cable installation, while working for the city he also instructed at Mesa Hotline School (Mesa State College) Grand Junction, Colorado. The fields of instruction were aerial gloving, grounding, cover-up, hot sticking, vehicle set-up and safety, and other fields applying to the electrical industry.
Mark Weaver designed the program for Maricopa Community Colleges and has been an instructor for the district since 1999. In the 2002/2003 academic year he became the founding director of the CGCC EUT program.
