Therapeutic Massage Program

BECOME A MASSAGE THERAPIST
Chandler-Gilbert Community College offers both an Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) and a Certificate of Completion (CCL) program in Therapeutic Massage. Therapeutic Massage is an Occupational Healthcare Curriculum Program within the Maricopa County Community College District and is accredited by the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy. Upon completion of the program students will be eligible for an Arizona Massage Therapy License as well as being prepared to sit for the national exam.
Program Cost:
Certificate of Completion (CCL) - $3053.00
(43credits x $71/credit) + Books & Supplies
Associates of Applied Science Degree (AAS) - $4828.00
(68credits x $71/credit) + Books & Supplies
Requirements prior to acceptance into the program*:
1. High school diploma or GED & be 18years or older
2. Take ASSET Placement tests, review with an advisor (take Reading/English/Study skills if needed)
3. Complete program prerequisite classes with a grade of "C" or better
4. Meet with Program Coordinator
5. Submit Application to Program Coordinator by March 27th, 2009
Requirements to begin the program:
1. Program Interview
2. Attend program meeting after being accepted
3. Summer Paperwork
-Immunizations & Health Declaration
-TB skin test
-CPR for the Health Care provider card (provided by CGCC)
-Fingerprint card
-Drug screening
4. Register for classes & pay tuition/fees
5. Begin the program
Cohorts begin each fall semester in August so enroll in your pre-requisite classes now!

*Acceptance into the Therapeutic Massage program at CGCC is dependent upon the number of spaces available.
*Not all students who complete prerequisite requirements may be accepted into the program.
