    U.S. Department of Health and Human Services agency that is responsible for federal programs that promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals, and  communities. ACF provides information and statistics for its services which include Adoption & Foster Care, Child Care and Child Support.

  • American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
    Facts for Families provides concise, up-to-date information on issues that affect children, teenagers, and their families.

  • Center on Children and Families
    Provides research and analysis to promote effective policies and programs for children.

  • Child Welfare Information Gateway
    A U.S. Department of Health and Human Services web site that provides information on programs, research, legislation, and statistics to promote safety, permanency and well-being of children and families. Includes child and neglect information.


  • Child Welfare League of America
    This organization provides Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, Behavioral Health, Family Development information.


  • Head Start--Administration for Children and Families
    A U.S. Department of Health and Human Services program that serves the child development needs of preschool children and their low-income families. See Research/Statistics for Head Start statistics. 

  • Kids Count
    The 2007 Kids Count Data Book Online contains a compilation of child well-being indicators including graphs, maps, ranked lists, and state-by-state profiles.    

  • National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
    Provides information, resources, and statistics for abducted, endangered, and sexually exploited children.

  • Prevent Child Abuse America
