LF:  I think the military, whether during the war or peacetime, is a marvelous opportunity for any young woman to grow and learn about herself, and what she is capable of achieving. Narrator: Judith Mente Interviewer: Kyle Schneider   JM: I was going tell you an exciting thing that happened, when, well it wasn't exciting. When Kennedy was killed, but the base I was at,  Eglin, was a [...] proving ground, and they had a TAC unit, Tactical Air Command, and they had a Strategic Air Command, which I think today are combined. The B-52 was a fairly new aircraft, and they just put numerous B-52's in  the air in a matter of minutes, and it was just incredible to see. I mean it's one of those things you can't really believe you're looking at. Narrator: Shirley Vega Interviewer: Delia Gallegos DG: Is there anything you would like to add?
