Beginning Fall '08, the district will no longer host Blackboard; Blackboard ASP (Application Service Provider) hosted by Blackboard, Inc. is the new implementation of Blackboard at Maricopa College District. This page is a resource for information, training and support for users of Bb ASP. Moving to BbASP means higher reliability and versatility for teachers and students. It also means that we will move from version 7.1 to version 7.3 with some new features. Contact Tom Foster at foster@cgc.edu or 480-732-7179 if you need more information about BbASP.

For Fall '08, courses at the BbASP site will be created with student enrollment but no content. Faculty can do one of the following to be ready to teach in the fall using Bb ASP:

Start with a shell course (only students, no content). You can then upload content as you wish.
Export content from district Bb and import into Bb ASP.

We will have 'moving to Bb ASP' sessions before, during, and after the week of accountability. So far, sessions are scheduled as follows:
