Bracero Program Oral History Story Honors Project: this activity has students choose an oral history related to the bracero program,
complete secondary research, and construct a fact-based historical history.

Films and Activities: a list of immigration films that specifically deal with
immigrants and the U.S./Mexico boundary and some possible

Immigration Reform Project Persuasive Essay Project: this project is a comprehensive persuasive essay assignment for an English 102 class
including research goals, assignment goals, readings, writing assignments,
collaborative activities, resources (films, videos and other online sources)
and a political cartoon activity. A collaborative activity which has students
explore the purposes of immigration from different perspectives helps students
pre-pare to analyze Bracero’s stories that they encounter through the
Bittersweet Harvest exhibit.
