Visual Arts - Drawing

Drawing courses are designed to provide an understanding of the fundamental principles of drawing (Drawing I) and to study the undraped human figure as subject matter (Life Drawing). A variety of media and approaches are explored. Both Drawing I and Life Drawing I are included as required course work for the Computer Art/Illustration certificate. Art majors are advised to take Drawing I early in their studies to provide a solid foundation of draftsmanship in preparation for pursuing other areas of interest such as painting, watercolor, and illustration. Advanced courses are available.

NOTE: Life Drawing is typically taken by art majors as well as non-art majors who enjoy art activities. Cost estimate: Approximately $228 for tuition and course fees plus $70-$90 for drawing supplies and possibly the cost of a text book at the instructor's discretion.
