Visual Arts - Design

Taught as part of the art foundation core, Design classes equip students with a greater understanding of the elements and principles of composition. Two Dimensional Design develops visual awareness and artistic intent by using a hands on approach with an emphasis on problem solving. Color Design teaches students to describe color in terms of light and the human visual system. Students learn the psychological aspects and applications of color as they pertain to making art.

NOTE: This course is recommended for art majors. It is one of the "core" art classes required of all art majors in the Arizona State University system (ASU, UofA, NAU). Cost estimate: Approximately $223 for tuition and course fees plus the cost of various art supplies. Taught Fall semester only.
