Required Tools and Equipment
The following items must be secured by the student from the manufacturer of his/her choice by the second week of class and must be equal in quality to professional tools usually found in the Aviation Maintenance field.

Tool Box: 22" X 10" X 14" maximum. Simple, small hand boxes or tool bags. A cantilever type tool box is recommended.

Additional Tool Requirements
On to the first day of class in the semester in which the student enrolls for AMT 126, the student must have an electronics tool kit with the following items.
Wire Stripper (Snap On or equivalent)
Electricians diagonal wire cutters
Small standard screwdriver
Small Phillips screwdriver
One roll 60/40 resin core solder
25 to 40 watt soldering iron
One household sponge
The items listed above are typical items that may be purchased from any electrical or electronic equipment store. It is possible to acquire most of the items in a kit.

Note: Snap-on, Proto, Mac, Matco and Craftsman all sell tool kits which they call basic aircraft mechanic's sets; most contain the tools on this list and more. All those sets are good starting points to build your tool set for your career.
