Department within Student Affairs
This learning-centered department serves CGCC's diverse student populations. Our team of skilled and licensed professionals provide a wide range of intervention, assessment, advocacy and support services to assist in personal and academic success. These services assist in preparing, improving and expanding student learning and personal growth while attending college.
Disability Resources & Services (DRS)
Assists students who have a documented disability according to The Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA), Amendment Act of 2008, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Students must self-identify, register, and follow all DRS procedures. Students may engage in:
Advocacy and mediation support
Academic and personal support
Inform, educate, and monitor disability processes, rights and laws
Intervention and support to assist with skill building
Utilizing approved classroom and campus accommodations
Use of assistive technology
