Hello and welcome to your future at Chandler-Gilbert Community College!

My name is Yoroba Russell and I’m from the Greater Cleveland area where The Ohio State Buckeye’s rule! I received my Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Notre Dame College, a small private school in Ohio. I then went on to complete my Masters of Business Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2008. My family and I relocated to Arizona in 2008 and enjoy the welcome change of sunshine and warm weather.

My professional background consists of 9 years of working in higher education primarily working with new students, re-entry and graduate students focusing on changing their lives with education. I also have an extensive background in academic advising and financial aid expertise for students to be successful from the beginning of their college experience until graduation.

My commitment to you as a student is I believe anyone can be successful with the best resources and tools to support their educational and career goals. I look forward to working with you, please feel free to stop by and say hello as my door is always open. My office is at the Pecos campus in the Coyote Welcome Center.

Hello and welcome to Chandler-Gilbert Community College!

My name is Meghan Vaughn. I am an Arizona native and have lived in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Flagstaff, and currently reside in Queen Creek. I started my undergrad up in Flagstaff at Northern Arizona University (lumberjacks!). I lived there for two years and then transferred back down to the valley, where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from NAU, completing my classes here at the CGCC Pecos campus! I have recently received my Master of Arts in Education.

I have worked in higher education for the past five years. I love what I do and have a passion for education and helping students reach their educational goals. Please let me know how I can help you reach yours!

Hi, my name is Judi Galusha and I am originally from New York. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University and my Master of Education in College Counseling from State University of New York. I have worked in Higher Education for 10 years as a College Counselor, Academic Counselor, and Career Counselor and enjoy working with all student populations including new, continuing, transfer, re-entry and dual enrollment students.

In my current role with the Department of Recruitment and New Student Orientation I promote student success by helping students navigate the enrollment process including admissions, placement testing, financial aid, scholarships, program advisement, tutoring and all student services. I believe education is the best investment a student can make in themselves personally, academically and professionally and I look forward to helping you be successful!

Hello and welcome to Chandler-Gilbert Community College! My name is Martine Garcia. I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I am 19 years old, a full time student and currently pursuing a Communication degree and plan on transferring to ASU.

I am very active in student life and volunteering. I’m president of a club and a part of several others. I’m a work study student in the Office of Recruitment and Orientation, and a Student Ambassador of CGCC. I enjoy giving campus tours, providing tips for college success (as a current college student) and guiding new and current students in the right direction.
