CGCC Academic Scholarship

Applicants must have 15 hours of above 100 level courses completed at CGCC. Also must have a 3.5 minimum GPA at CGCC and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours (above 100 level courses) at CGCC for 12-13. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, a legal resident of the United States, or have lawful immigration status. The CGCC Scholarship Committee selects recipients

Chandler Horizon Rotary Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours at CGCC, have financial need, be a resident of the city of Chandler, have a 3.0 or higher GPA at CGCC, and have completed between 1-24 credit hours at CGCC. Preference will be given to re-entry students and single parents. The CGCC Scholarship Committee selects recipients.

Jean Ellen Day Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be a AZ resident, enrolled full time at CGCC for the Fall '12 semester, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA at CGCC.  Also must be a reentry student majoring in a business, IT, or computer science at CGCC.  The CGCC Scholarship Committee selects recipients.

John Herdt Memorial Scholarship (Sun Lakes Lions Club)

Applicant must be enrolled full time for Fall '13 at CGCC, have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA, and demonstrate financial need.  Applicants should have a background of volunteering, serving as an officer in a club or organization, and show how they have provided leadership.  The CGCC Scholarship Committee selects recipients.

Special Note: Applicants must complete the 2014-15 FAFSA in addition to the scholarship application. Both the scholarship application and processed FAFSA must be received by the CGCC Financial Aid Office by the deadline date of May 29, 2014 in order to be considered for this award.

Otto and Edna Neely Foundation Scholarship

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, an Arizona resident, have a GPA of 2.5 or better at CGCC, and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to single parents and single independent students. Recipients must enroll in a minimum of 6 hours at CGCC. The CGCC Scholarship Committee selects recipients.

Special Note: Applicants must complete the 2014-2015 FAFSA in addition to the scholarship application. Both the scholarship application and processed FAFSA must be received by the CGCC Financial Aid Office by the deadline date of May 29, 2014 in order to be considered for this award.

Applicants must:

 

Be female.
 
Be at least 18 years of age.
 
 

Demonstrate financial need.

Be a resident of an East Valley community. For the purposes of this program the East Valley consists of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, and unincorporated
areas within these community boundaries.
 
Be enrolled in, or have been accepted to, a vocational/skills training program or a community college associate’s degree program.
