​All-USA Scholarship Details

The 2014 All-USA Scholarship Competition is open to CGCC students who will be transferring on to a 4-year institution of higher education effective in fall 2014.

This is an annual competition. Students planning to enroll at CGCC in Fall 2013 and who also meet all eligibility criteria listed below may compete for the 2014 All-USA Scholarship Competition.

 
This fall Chandler-Gilbert Community College will nominate two students from the Pecos campus and two students from the Williams campus for the 2014 All-USA Academic Team Scholarship sponsored by the Alpha  chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at CGCC. The scholarship pays two full years of tuition to one of our three Arizona public universities (ASU, NAU, or U of A) with money available for use in Fall 2014. An additional cash prize of up to $1000 is also awarded to each nominee.

Eligibility Criteria
 
You must meet the following criteria to apply:
  • Currently enrolled at CGCC for Fall 2013
  • 3.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for all course work completed in the last 5 years, regardless of institution attended
  • Completion of 36 semester hours at the 100-level or above by the end of Fall Semester 2013 and 48 semester hours at the 100-level or above by the end of Spring Semester 2014, and
  • Plan to transfer to an accredited 4-year school for Fall 2014.

Phi Theta Kappa membership is NOT required to compete or win scholarship awards.
Interested students are encouraged start the application process as early as possible.  Preplanning will make for a stronger entry and increase the likelihood of winning one of these two valuable scholarships for 2014.  For questions, contact Donna Pisano at donna.pisano@cgc.edu
