Important Deadlines/Dates Fall 2017

July 3, 2017
Priority filing date for new and continuing students to submit the 2017-2018 FAFSA application and any Financial Aid To Do items on the my.maricopa.edu self-service site. Students who submit all required paperwork by the priority date will have their application reviewed before the tuition due date. Applications received after this date will still be considered for aid, but the student may not be awarded financial aid until after the start of the term. Students who file after the priority date should be prepared to use their own funds to pay for their tuition and fees prior to the tuition due date.

Fall classes begin.
Note:  Students with late starting classes may have some (or all) of their grant and/or loan disbursement delayed past the below listed dates, students should plan accordingly.
​August 28, 2017
Fall Pell Recalculation Date is at 5:00 PM. A student must register for all classes by this deadline and be awarded financial aid  to determine final Pell Grant eligibility for the term.  Courses also include those recognized through the completion of a consortium agreement.  If a student registers for additional courses after this date, additional Pell Grant will not be awarded.​ 
Pell awards for financial aid applications received after the fall published Pell Recalculation Date will be calculated based on the student's enrollment at the time of awarding. This date will be considered the Pell Recalculation Date at 5:00 PM.  Courses also include those recognized through the completion of a consortium agreement by the consortium agreement deadline.  If a student registers for additional courses after this date, additional Pell Grant will not be awarded.​

Estimated date fall financial aid will begin disbursing and disbursement refunds will be processed by the college. You will receive notification to your student email from Money Network regarding your refund. Students with late starting classes may have some (or all) of their grant and/or loan disbursement delayed past this date; students should plan accordingly.
Week of September 19, 2017
​Estimated date first time, first year, 30 day delay loan recipients will have the fall term loan applied toward paying fall fees and refunds processed by the college. You will receive notification from Money Network to your student email regarding your refund. Students with late starting classes may have some (or all) of their grant and/or loan disbursement delayed past this date, students should plan accordingly.

2017-2018 FAFSA AVAILABLE OCTOBER 1,2016

 
Submit your 2017-2018 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and complete your financial aid file to have your eligibility determined.  Complete file means the Financial Aid Office has received your FAFSA as well as all other requested documentation.  You can review any information that is needed by the Financial Aid Office in your "To Do" list on your online Maricopa Student Center at my.maricopa.edu.  It is important that you regularly monitor your Maricopa Student Center for notifications and updates.
