Understanding Course Notes
Course Notes give you details about your course before first day of classes. These include specifics such as whether an internet course online orientation is mandatory, required books, whether there are proctored exams that require you to go to campus or a pre-approved site, as well as special requirements, such as a particular calculator required, lab time outside of class required, orientation required, etc.
You find course notes in the class schedule.
The syllabus of a specific course has other requirements and specifics -- but syllabi are usually available only once a class has started.
NOTE: if using Course Notes to see what books are required, always confirm with the instructor (email instructor, request copy of syllabus) before purchase: syllabus content can override requirements posted in course notes.
Emailing an instructor is a way to confirm or ask about any specific requirements.
